Nasir found a crystal ball behind a banyan tree in his garden. When the tree old him it would grant him a wish, he thought and thought but could not think of anything he wanted. So he kept the crystal ball in his bag and waited to decide on his wish. Days went by without him making a wish but his best friend saw him looking at the crystal ball. The Farm Dog and the Wolf The dog replied that he kept watch over the farm and his master fed him well. The dog advised him, "Do work honestly and the master will feed you well". The wolf agreed. The wolf noticed some marks round the dog's neck. He asked the dog about it. The dog replied that during the day he had to wear the chain round his neck. The wolf was shocked to hear this. He said, "I would rather be free and starve than be a slave to anybody". Moral: Better be hungry than in chains.

The Oak Tree and the Reeds The Oak tree always thought that he was far stronger than the reeds. He said to himself "I stand upright in storm. I don't bend my head in fear every time the wind blows.
